Growing up on a nearby farm I was able to watch every June, like clockwork, the farmer planting his corn one year and then the other year beans. Finally around the end of August or beginning of September, the fruits of this harvest came forward.

You can say this is how the Lord’s graces work in a human soul. The Lord plants His seed of love in our hearts and the rainy season comes forth where He showers us with His graces. Finally the blooming season comes where we bloom with His love from our hearts. In essence we become a reflection of the heart of Jesus to the world.

What type of heart is yours which now reflects His? We center it on love

(for God is All Love) and now this is what we, as His family, are all about:

Love is patient, love is kind

It is not jealous, is not pompous,

It is not inflated, it is not rude

It does not seek its own interests, it is not quick-tempered,

It does not brood over injury,

It does not rejoice over wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth,

It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things.

Love never fails!

May you have a blessed and joyful summer with your family and friends!
